Case Details
On Monday, May 12, 1997, Nicole's father, Louis Santa, reported his daughter missing to police.  According to Mr Santa, he had dropped Nicole off at around 4 pm the previous day at the home of a babysitter so that he could go to visit his mother for Mother's Day.
The sitter was someone who had been a junior-high schoolmate of Mr Santa, someone he hadn't seen in 20 years but had run into the previous Friday.  She was described as hispanic, light-skinned, around 5'4", 135 lbs with a 'mushroom type' haircut, wearing a white shirt, black jeans and black & white sneakers.
Despite the efforts of investigators, neither the babysitter nor Nicole have ever been located.
There are no photos of little Nicole.
