Case History
On the morning of September 25, 2000, officers from the Reading Police Department discovered the nude body of an unidentified woman in a wooded area behind the Old Reading Brewery/Eagle Distributing Company located at 850 Laurel Street, near the intersection of 9th Street in Reading.
Due to the advanced decomposition and insect activity, most of her face and ears were gone. There were a few strands of blonde hair with dark roots still attached to the skull.
Found near the body was a white mesh sneaker, a white T-shirt and a white bra, but none of the items could be determined as belonging to the decedent.
It is estimated that she would have been last seen alive in late August 2000.
